FAQs
Where do I find product-related FAQs?
You can find product-related FAQs on the individual product pages. These include information about cleaning, expansion gaps, underfloor heating, acclimatising and installation FAQs.
What is wastage?
Wastage refers to the amount of floor that will end up not being used during an installation. This is generally unavoidable due to the way the planks will need to be cut, however, the amount of wastage can vary depending on the plank design, laying style and room shape. 10% is a good amount to start with, but u003ca href=u0022https://woodpeckerflooring.co.uk/product-tag/herringbone-floors/u0022u003eherringboneu003c/au003e and chevron floors may require more – always consult with your installer before purchasing.
How do I measure my room?

How do I clean and maintain my Woodpecker floor?
This depends on if you have an oiled finish or a lacquered finish floor. If you have an oiled finish (including hardwax oiled) then simply use our specifically formulated cleaning liquid for oiled floors. If your floor is lacquered (including our Stratex range) then we have a cleaning liquid for lacquered floors. How do I register my warranty?

Do you have a showroom?
Yes – we do! You can find it at our head office in Caerphilly (South Wales), but don’t worry if that’s too far away, we have many partners dotted around the UK.
